Since 2021 we have been providing a safeguarding and welfare service.

Volunteering in Northampton Town Centre on Friday and Saturday we work in partnership with the OPFCC, Northamptonshire Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service, Northampton Street Pastors & Local venues with one aim. To ensure the safety of Female and Males within the night time economy.

After the tragic events of 2016 that lead to the murder of India Chipchase, We hope we are able to prevent this from ever happening in our town again and spread awareness further a field so people enjoy themselves and stay safe.

Northampton Guardians receive Rose of Northamptonshire award!

We are thrilled to have been nominated for and received a Rose of Northamptonshire award, One was awarded to our charity as a whole and an individual award was given to a trustee for the charity. We were invited by the Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire James Saunders Watson to receive the award at his lodge within the county.

  • In 2023, we helped 245 men!

  • Since we started in December 2021 we have supported over 2000 vulnerable people!

How do I volunteer?

Can we donate?

Yes you can donate by clicking on the donate tab - Your donations ensure we can continue our work and can ensure that our volunteers are provided with the vital equipment, training and uniform needed to carry out their duties.

Are you street pastors?

No, we are both separate organisations who although both aim to keep the night-time economy safe, have different ways of managing and dealing with vulnerable people.

What can I do if i’ve been spiked?

If you suspect you have been spiked then please follow some of the advice below. This is not an extensive list and it will not cover every situation.

  • Tell your friends.

  • Speak to the security staff at the venue.

  • Contact us either on our mobiles, through security or by approaching the van.

  • Speak to the police.

  • Go to A&E if needed or call 999.

Are you anything to do with the Police?

No we are not the police, however we work closely with them to ensure we help keep people in the night-time economy safe.
